Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Workshop Engineer (Forklifts / Material Handling) in Burton Latimer. You will service, diagnose, and repair forklift trucks and related equipment in a busy depot workshop, with a focus on safety, quality and timely delivery to customers.

The role offers manufacturer training, regular overtime, modern workshop facilities, and clear progression routes within a stable company. A strong mechanical background and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Good hydraulic and electrical knowledge.
Experience with engines and mobile machinery.
Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections.
Complete major repairs and component replacements.
Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery.
Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs).
Complete workshop paperwork and service reports accurately.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment within a busy depot workshop.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards before being returned to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment
Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults
Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections
Complete major repairs and component replacements
Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery
