Job summary

Pioneer Selection is recruiting a Workshop Engineer in Basingstoke, Hampshire, to service, maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment in a workshop setting, including forklift trucks, mobile plant and material handling gear. This hands-on role requires experience in an engineering workshop, maintenance of industrial vehicles, and qualifications in engineering.

Job Title: Workshop Engineer

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 (40 Hours) or £37,000 - £42,500 (45 Hours) + overtime

Shift: Monday to Friday – Days Shift

Job Role

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Engineer to join a well‑established and growing business specialising in Forklift Trucks (FLTs), Mobile Plant and Material Handling Equipment. This is a workshop‑based role carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.

Essential Requirements

• Hands‑on engineering experience in a workshop or industrial engineering environment.
• Maintenance experience of Forklift Trucks or Mobile Plant Machinery or HGVs or industrial vehicles.
• Hands‑on experience in Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics.
• Recognised Engineering Qualification.

Desirable Requirements

• Engineering qualification of minimum Level 3.
