Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing machinery, vehicles or mobile equipment.
  • Experience with forklift trucks or material handling equipment preferred.
  • Willing to undertake manufacturer training.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Complete major repairs and component replacements; prepare equipment for customer delivery.
  • Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs).
  • Accurately complete workshop documentation and service reports.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
  • Work collaboratively within the engineering team.

Workshop Engineer (Forklifts / Material Handling)

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Basic + Overtime (OTE £45,000 - £50,000+)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (42.5 Hours)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment within a busy depot workshop.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will ensure machines are maintained, repaired and prepared to the highest standards before being returned to customers.

Key Responsibilities
