Overview

Role: Workshop Controller / Production Manager - Marine Industry
Location: Norfolk Broads
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Pay: In region of £30,000 depending upon experience

We are looking for a Workshop Controller / Production Manager to join our Client's Yacht Repair team in Brundall, Norfolk.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to effectively manage the efficiency of the Marine Engineers / Technicians, booking in work and allocating tasks, as well as general administrative & customer service duties to keep the department running, such as:

  • Stock control;
  • Booking in work (from sales department and private customers);
  • Preparing quotes and invoices;
  • Taking payments;
  • Overseeing Health & Safety;
  • Updating customers regarding the progress of work.
The Requirements
  • Strong administrative skills;
  • Effective communication skills - in person and via telephone / email;
  • Able to juggle a busy workload;
  • Able to work as part of a team in a friendly, good-natured workplace;
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety is beneficial;
  • Knowledge of boats and mechanics would be highly beneficial.
