Job summary

Silcom Recruitment Limited is assisting a Guildford-based client in finding an experienced Workshop Controller to help run the workshop smoothly.

You will oversee daily operations, manage workflow and scheduling, supervise the team, and ensure high standards of customer service; you will maintain workshop records and drive efficient service delivery. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with no weekend work and a basic salary in the £36,000–£38,000 range plus a small bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Workshop Controller or similar role.
• Familiarity with RTC or Kerridge software preferred but not essential.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the workshop.
• Managing and coordinating the workflow and scheduling of jobs.
• Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
• Supervising and supporting the workshop team.
• Maintaining workshop records and documentation.
