Job summary

Auto Skills UK are recruiting a Workshop Controller for our Barnstaple Depot. You will oversee the day-to-day running of all workshop activities, allocate workload to technicians and step in on the tools when required to keep service levels high.

The 40 hour week runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 4.30pm, with a basic salary around £48,000 per annum and on-target earnings up to £55,000. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• The core skills and qualifications required for a Workshop Controller are:
• Time Served Tech or NVQ C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs.
• MOT preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day running of all areas of the workshop, delegate workload to the technicians.
• This is a productive position so you will be on the tools when required.
• Complete service and repair documentation and records in accordance with company requirements and standards
• Overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other workshop equipment
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper based

Education

Time Served Tech / NVQ C&G Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repairs
