E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller in Purfleet, Essex. The role is permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00am–3:30pm, with the site in Purfleet and field service coordination as required.

The role involves planning and allocating work to workshop and mobile engineers, coordinating servicing, repairs and breakdowns, and keeping customers informed of progress and timescales. Salary up to £55,000, with holiday entitlement increasing with service.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating engineers in workshop or field service.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Experience with heavy machinery or engineering environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate work to workshop and mobile engineers.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs, breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
• Manage work schedules and adjust priorities as needed.
• Keep customers updated on job progress and completion times.
• Coordinate vehicle/equipment collections and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate job, quotation and parts records.
• Liaise with engineers, customers, suppliers and internal departments.
