Arnold Clark Group is recruiting a Workshop Controller for our Omoda/Jaecoo branch in Newcastle. You will work with the Service Manager to drive productivity and ensure first-time repairs meet high standards in a busy, fast-paced workshop.

The role suits an organized, quick-thinking professional with automotive experience and a drive to develop into a management position. Expect deadlines, technical challenges and a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the automotive industry, including previous workshop control or technician roles.
• High levels of organisation and accuracy.
• Strong IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coaching a team of vehicle technicians and apprentices, ensuring targets and business objectives are met.
• Ensuring servicing work is carried out correctly, on time and to customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring working practices comply with company, DVSA, health and safety and manufacturer policies.
• Collaborating with colleagues and other departments to provide seamless service for customers.
• Scheduling work to meet customer needs, considering workshop targets and parts availability.
• Providing estimates for servicing and repairs and setting timescales.
