Job summary

Holdcroft Motor Group is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy workshop at Renault, Hanley. You will coordinate technicians, allocate work efficiently, and ensure repairs are completed on time to manufacturer standards, while delivering outstanding customer service.

In this role you will drive productivity, monitor performance, and liaise with Service Advisors to provide accurate updates.

Qualifications

• Experience as Workshop Controller or senior technician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a busy workshop.
• Experience working to manufacturer standards and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate, and monitor workshop jobs to maximise productivity and efficiency
• Ensure work is completed to manufacturer standards and within agreed deadlines
• Support and motivate the technician team to achieve productivity and quality targets
• Monitor workshop performance, efficiency, and utilisation
• Liaise with Service Advisors to provide accurate repair updates and completion times
• Ensure all workshop processes comply with manufacturer and company standards
• Assist with technical queries and support technicians where required
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop
• Manage workshop capacity and prioritise urgent repairs where necessary
• Help drive customer satisfaction through efficient workshop operations
