Job summary

Perfect Placement in Heathrow seeks an experienced Workshop Controller to lead a busy workshop at a prestige main dealership. You will manage loads, assign work to technicians, and drive efficiency while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a franchised dealership environment.
  • Demonstrable record of improving workshop productivity and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of workshop planning, labour management, and workflow optimisation.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate and influence a team of technicians.
  • Knowledge of warranty processes and manufacturer systems is desirable.
  • Previous management or leadership qualifications are advantageous.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily workshop operations including load management and capacity planning to maximise productivity.
  • Allocate work effectively according to technician skills and workload.
  • Monitor and improve workshop efficiency and utilisation during each shift.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop technicians through coaching and performance management.
  • Manage workflow to ensure smooth job progression and minimise delays.
  • Maintain high service quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the workshop.
  • Build strong working relationships with the service team to optimise customer experience.
