Job summary

Pembrook Resourcing LTD are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller for a busy dealership in Dagenham to take ownership of workshop operations, maximise productivity and ensure high workmanship standards while supporting technicians.

The ideal candidate will have prior workshop control or supervisory experience in the motor trade, with strong leadership, excellent diagnostic knowledge and a full UK driving licence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy and successful dealership in Dagenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of workshop operations, ensuring maximum productivity, efficiency and high standards of workmanship while supporting a team of skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Allocating work efficiently to technicians based on skill set and workload.
• Monitoring workshop productivity and ensuring jobs are completed on time.
• Supporting and motivating the workshop team to achieve performance targets.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and manufacturer compliance.
• Liaising with the Service Department to ensure customers are kept informed of repair progress.
• Assisting with technical queries and ensuring an excellent level of customer satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician or Workshop Supervisor within the motor trade.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic understanding.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Full UK driving licence.
