Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited in Beckenham is recruiting an experienced Workshop Controller, Senior Service Advisor or Aftersales Controller to join a busy independent garage. You will allocate work to Technicians, manage parts and quotations, and support day-to-day workshop operations.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK. Hours are Monday–Friday 8:00–18:00, with 1 in 2 Saturdays; salary £35,000–£40,000 with an annual performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous Workshop Controller or Senior Service Advisor experience.
• Experience coordinating Technician workloads in a garage/workshop.
• Confident handling a high volume of customer inquiries and interests.
• Strong knowledge of quotations and parts ordering.
• Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise workshop requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Allocate work across the Technician team.
• Coordinate day-to-day workshop activity.
• Order parts required for servicing and repair work.
• Prepare quotations and communicate costs to customers.
• Handle incoming customer calls and service enquiries.
• Provide additional support on service reception when required.
• Take on further workshop and aftersales responsibilities as the role develops.

• Salary: £35,000-£40,000 basic

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, usually finishing around 5:30pm depending on workload. 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am-12:30pm
