Job summary

Majestic Wines Warehouse Limited in Oxford is inviting applications for a Majestic Trainee Manager. You will embark on a 12 month development programme gaining hands-on experience across operations, service and leadership to prepare you for a future Store Manager role.

You will drive store performance, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop product knowledge to support WSET qualifications. The role requires a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Oxford stores and

Qualifications

• Experience of working as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience & service to every customer.
• Ability to prioritise and strategically problem solve in high pressure environments.
• Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Can-do attitude with a passion for solving problems.
• Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Wine knowledge is beneficial; willingness to learn more to pass level 2 & 3 WSET qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and improving KPI coverage.
• Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to drive growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer VIP concierge-style support by proactively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story and knowledge of our range, running tasting events and a compelling counter presentation.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualification and confident selling.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and upkeep both inside and outside.
• Assist in day-to-day operations including deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach.
• Identify opportunities to improve store operations and efficiency.
• Stay compliant with policies, processes and mandatory training.
• Own your development with support from the Store Manager and Majestic Ways of Working.
• Be a resource for junior staff and provide coaching as needed.
