Job summary

Majestic Wine in South Manchester is hiring a Trainee Manager for a 12-month development programme designed to prepare you for Store Manager roles. You’ll cover operations, service and leadership standards, with support from your Store Manager and a career pathway training plan.

This permanent, 44 hours per week role requires a full UK manual licence, willingness to travel to Stockport, Wilmslow, Hale Barns, Cheadle Hulme, Sale and Knutsford, and weekend flexibility. Salary £29,080.48 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience to every customer.
• Full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and KPI focus.
• Deliver market leading customer service to drive growth and loyalty.
• Provide VIP concierge service with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story and knowledge of our wine range, manage tastings and counter presentation.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualification and confident selling.
• Maintain store appearance and upkeep, both inside and out.
• Involve yourself in day-to-day operations from deliveries to merchandising and contact with customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and store running efficiency.
• Stay compliant with internal policies and mandatory training.
• Develop with support from your Store Manager and be a resource for junior colleagues.
