Job summary

Majestic Wine in Maidenhead seeks a dynamic Trainee Manager to join a 12-month development programme that covers operations, service and leadership foundations, setting you up for a future Store Manager role. You will work under the Store Manager, driving sales, delivering top-tier customer service and supporting daily store tasks.

With a 44-hour week, you’ll balance leadership duties with hands-on responsibilities, including stock delivery, merchandising and customer outreach, while progressing

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environments.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience to every customer.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• WSET wine knowledge is beneficial and passion to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance and maximise sales opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive growth and loyalty.
• Offer VIP concierge service and update customers on products and tastings.
• Promote our wine range and manage tasting events and counters.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualification and sales confidence.
• Ensure store appearance and maintenance meet standards.
• Support day-to-day store operations including delivery and merchandising.
• Identify opportunities to optimise operational efficiency and compliance.
