Job summary

Majestic Wine in Witney is seeking a dynamic Trainee Manager for a 12-month development programme to learn all operational, service and leadership standards for future Store Manager roles.

You will train under the Store Manager across the career pathway, delivering strong sales, exceptional customer service and VIP customer engagement as you progress toward senior store responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience & service to every customer.
• Ability to prioritise and solve problems under pressure.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone or in a team.
• Passion for wine and learning about products to support WSET qualifications.
• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and improving KPI performance.
• Deliver market leading customer service to drive loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer VIP concierge service and proactively contact customers with updates and tastings.
• Share passion for our range, manage tasting events and a tasting counter.
• Develop wine knowledge to support WSET qualification and selling confidence.
• Maintain store appearance and day-to-day operations across merchandising and deliveries.
• Support across operations to ensure smooth running and compliant processes.
• Identify improvements to enhance store operations and customer experience.
• Be an example of Majestic Ways of Working and support junior colleagues.
