Job summary

Majestic Wine Group in Cambridge is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the store team, drive sales and manage day-to-day operations. The role requires evenings and weekends work, and a full UK manual driving licence for at least 12 months.

You will grow product knowledge, pursue WSET Level 2, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding store standards and compliance. 21 hours per week with permanent contract awaits the right candidate.

• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team in meeting targets.
• Deliver exceptional market leader customer service to drive business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
• Offer VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
• Sell the story not the discount by sharing passion and in-depth product knowledge.
• Take ownership of wine knowledge and pursue continual training to support product confidence.
• Maintain the store's appearance and upkeep both inside and outside.
• Assist with day-to-day tasks from delivering wine to customers to stock deliveries and customer outreach.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and share ideas with the team.
