Job summary

Majestic Wine Group is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant in Milton Keynes to support the store team in delivering outstanding customer experiences and driving KPI performance. You will handle deliveries, merchandising and proactive customer outreach while maintaining store standards.

You will work evenings and weekends, using your wine knowledge to engage customers and progress toward WSET Level 2 as part of our training program. A full UK manual driving licence is required.

• Wine knowledge is beneficial but passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
• Hold a full UK, manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet targets.
• Deliver exceptional market leading customer service to drive business growth through loyalty & repeat purchases.
• Provide VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with product updates and tastings.
• Sell the story not the discount, sharing passion and in-depth product knowledge.
• Take ownership of wine knowledge and pursue ongoing learning to support WSET qualification.
• Maintain the physical appearance and upkeep of the store, inside and out.
• Assist in all day-to-day store operations including deliveries, merchandising and customer outreach.
• Identify improvement opportunities to optimise store operations and share ideas with the team.
• Ensure compliance with policies, processes and mandatory training.
• Be a positive mentor for junior team members and support the Store Manager.
