Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) technician in the West Midlands region. You will work on pre-booked jobs, carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs, with member-facing recommendations and RAC-standard safety checks.

You will join a growing SMR unit with a clear schedule, no emergency callouts, and opportunities for overtime and additional earnings through bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
