Job summary

RAC's Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is hiring a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to perform pre-booked servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs at members' driveways or work locations. You will work from a clear digital schedule with a fully equipped RAC van and follow RAC safety standards.

You will diagnose faults with mobile equipment, advise members, and order parts as needed. The role offers stable hours and progression via RAC development pathways.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a full UK driving licence (fewer than 6 points)

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on member vehicles
• Perform in-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspections
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
