Job summary

RAC is recruiting for a Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) technician in the West Midlands. You will handle planned servicing on members' vehicles, perform diagnostics with mobile equipment, and carry out in-depth repairs in a structured workshop setting.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, uniform, tool set, fuel card, and access to advanced diagnostics. Overtime and bonuses boost earnings beyond the base salary.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
