Job summary

RAC Motoring Services in the UK is seeking Mobile Technicians for the SMR division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule, performing diagnostics and planned servicing at members’ driveways and car parks, with emphasis on quality and RAC standards.

You’ll carry out routine servicing, in-depth repairs, and provide member guidance using advanced mobile equipment. The role includes a fully equipped RAC van, overtime options, and a 40-hour week with Saturday availability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• 5+ years' experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic with full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
