Job summary

Virgin Active & Kauai is hiring a Team Member in Nottingham to deliver warm, friendly service while preparing fresh food and drinks to high standards. You will handle orders, maintain hygiene, manage allergens, and support colleagues to ensure an outstanding member experience.

Role is zero hours with flexible shifts, requiring good communication, attention to detail and a proactive, reliable approach. Training and perks accompany a vibrant hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• Food Allergy and Intolerance training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, friendly and genuine service to every member and guest.
• Prepare food and beverages to brand recipes and presentation standards.
• Process customer orders and payments using POS systems.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions, allergens and nutritional information.
• Recommend products and provide an exceptional customer experience via confident service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Complete opening, closing, preparation and temperature check procedures.
• Follow allergen procedures and prevent cross-contamination.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming café environment across dining areas, counters and displays.
• Collaborate with Virgin Active teams to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Support training of new team members and uphold brand standards.
