Job summary

Virgin Active is seeking four Team Members to join the Kauai café team in the United Kingdom. You will deliver warm, friendly service and help prepare fresh food and drinks to brand standards, while maintaining hygiene and safety across the cafe.

Ideal candidates have customer service or hospitality experience, a Food Safety Level 2 qualification, and strong communication. You will work early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or food service desirable.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Food Allergy and Intolerance Training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, positive and reliable approach to work.
• Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, friendly and genuine service to every member and guest.
• Prepare food and beverages to brand recipes and presentation standards.
• Process customer orders and payments accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions, allergens and nutritional information.
• Recommend products and provide an exceptional customer experience through confident service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
• Complete opening, closing, preparation and temperature check procedures.
• Follow allergen procedures and prevent cross-contamination in preparation.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised cafe environment across dining areas, counters and displays.
• Collaborate with Virgin Active teams to deliver a seamless member experience.
• Support training of new team members and uphold Virgin Active brand standards.
