Job summary

Alpadia is looking for a Welfare Officer for its Summer Camp in the United Kingdom. The role centers on safeguarding, student welfare, and coordinating a team of Welfare Officers and Night Supervisors to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

You will work with Camp Management to implement policies, manage accommodation, and liaise with staff and external stakeholders. DBS/ referees and relevant checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding, welfare, or residential management.
• Experience with children or young people in camp/school settings.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong communication and leadership in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize student safety and implement safeguarding policies with Camp Manager.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Staff and care for sick students.
• Manage attendance registers and student welfare communications with stakeholders.
• Lead welfare team training and induction; manage Welfare Officer and Night Supervisor rotas.
• Oversee accommodation allocation, pocket money handling and daily camp administration.
