Job summary

Alpadia Language Schools SA is seeking a Welfare Officer for our London Woldingham centre during the Summer 2027 season. You will prioritise student safety, act as designated safeguarding staff, and manage welfare operations including registers, accommodation, and pocket money distribution.

The role requires strong safeguarding knowledge, team leadership, and excellent communication. On-site residential post with accommodation provided, DBS checks and staff training included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pastoral, welfare or residential management with children/young people.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and incident handling.
• Experience leading a staff team in welfare/supervision roles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety policies are followed and staff are trained.
• Manage student welfare communications with internal/external stakeholders.
• Oversee accommodation allocation and check-in/out procedures.
• Lead welfare team and coordinate night supervision and rota.
• Support activity programming and administrative tasks as required.
