Job summary

ALPADIA Language Schools SA in the UK is recruiting a Welfare & Administration Manager for a fixed-term residential summer contract to lead student welfare, safeguarding and camp administration at our London-based centre for Summer 2027.

You will oversee safeguarding, staff induction, rostering, attendance registers, accommodation allocation, and communication with Group Leaders, ensuring a safe, supportive and well-organised camp experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pastoral welfare or residential management with children or young people.
• Experience in summer camp, boarding school, or youth programme setting.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise student safety and implement safeguarding and health and safety policies in collaboration with Camp Manager.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Staff, care for sick students and arrange medical responses.
• Manage attendance registers and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on welfare matters.
• Coordinate transfer plans with students and Group Leaders to ensure smooth departures.
• Lead training and induction of welfare staff and oversee Welfare Team.
• Oversee accommodation allocations and pocket money distribution.
• Support the Activity Programme and contribute to camp process improvements.
