Job description
Overview

We\'re hiring a Welding Inspector to support the Liverpool Bay CCS Transport and Storage Project. You\'ll be responsible for verifying welding procedures, qualifications, and inspection activities, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of pressure equipment and welded structures across global sites.

Responsibilities
  • Review and approve WPS and PQR documentation
  • Verify welder qualifications and adherence to approved procedures
  • Conduct visual inspections and oversee NDT (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT)
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, API, AWS, and project specifications
  • Monitor welding activities including pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld phases
  • Evaluate weld defects, raise non-conformities, and track corrective actions
  • Maintain welding inspection reports and material traceability records
  • Liaise with contractors, QA/QC teams, and third-party inspectors
  • Support audits and welding-related quality reviews
  • Proven welding inspection experience in energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and inspection techniques
  • Familiar with ASME, ISO, API, AWS standards
  • Skilled in interpreting welding maps, drawings, and NDT reports
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
Qualifications
  • Certified IIW Welding Inspector, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or equivalent (subject to Eni approval)
  • ISO 9712 Level 2 in one volumetric (RT/UT) and two surface (VT/PT/MT) methods
