Job summary

A manufacturing company in Beverley is seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators for a full-time permanent role. Responsibilities include manufacturing trailer bodies, attaching parts, and maintaining equipment. A pay rate of £16 per hour is offered with a 12-week temp to perm opportunity. Brushing up on welding and fabrication skills is expected, along with good manual dexterity and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Overview

My client in the Brough area are looking for experienced Welders / Fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform skilled work during the manufacture/build of trailer and trailer bodies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of fixtures, apparatus, and other elements in the factory area. This includes fitting body components to panels and assembled trailer bodies.
• Attach parts by bonding or by mechanical fasteners.
• Use tools and equipment used in trailer bodybuilding.
• Maintain and repair associated adhesive and fastener equipment.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
• Be able to apply specified bonding procedures.
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions; good manual dexterity and ability to handle a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Something about manual labour for extended periods of time as required by work assignments.
• Good interpersonal skills.
