Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Weighbridge/SCADA Controller on a fixed-term basis at the Port of Liverpool. The role focuses on maintaining the traffic management system, safely operating the weighbridge, and ensuring efficient information flow for bulk terminal operations.

You will liaise with engineers and team leaders, process tickets, and support timely vessel discharge and storage activities while complying with procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience and communication skills.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use a range of software packages, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience operating a weighbridge and providing administration support in an operational environment would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of bulk handling methods or food safety standards/waste regulations is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the traffic management system and ensure the safe operation of the site.
• Operate the weighbridge and ensure accurate weighing of vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Process tickets in line with standard operating procedures.
• Communicate with engineers, operatives and team leaders to discharge vessels and coordinate storage activities.
• Support safe and efficient movements of products and report delays to the Shift Supervisor.
