Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Weighbridge/SCADA Controller for the Port of Liverpool on a fixed-term basis. You will manage the weighbridge, operate the SCADA system, and ensure safe, compliant vehicle movements while coordinating with engineers and operations teams.

The role emphasizes accurate ticket processing, strong IT skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Prior weighbridge experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a weighbridge and providing administration support in an operational environment.
• Knowledge of bulk handling methods would be an advantage.
• Experience in food products, food safety standards, or waste regulations helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the traffic management system and ensure safe operation of the site including Traffic Marshalling as required.
• Run the terminals SCADA system safely and efficiently, processing tickets per SOPs.
• Ensure vehicles are weighed accurately as they enter and leave the site.
• Communicate with engineers, operatives and team leaders to discharge vessels and coordinate storage activities.
