Peel Ports Group is seeking a Weighbridge/SCADA Controller on a fixed-term contract at the Port of Liverpool. You will manage the traffic system, operate the SCADA and weighbridge, and coordinate vessel discharge and storage activities while ensuring safe, compliant operations and timely vehicle turnaround.

You will need strong customer service and communication skills, plus good IT ability to use multiple software packages including Microsoft.

Qualifications

• You will have excellent customer service experience and excellent communication skills, combined with strong attention to detail.
• With strong IT skills, you will be able to use a range of different software packages, including Microsoft.
• Experience operating a weighbridge and providing administration support in an operational environment would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of bulk handling methods would be an advantage; experience within food products, food safety standards, or waste regulations is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the traffic management system and ensure the safe operation of the site, including Traffic Marshalling as required.
• Operate the terminals SCADA system in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring tickets are processed in line with SOPs.
• Ensure vehicles entering and leaving the site are accurately weighed at the weighbridge.
• Communicate with engineers, operatives and team leaders to discharge vessels and coordinate storage activities.
• Support safe and efficient movements of products and meet vehicle turnaround times; report delays to the Shift Supervisor.
• Play a key role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of the Weighbridge.
