Job summary

University of Leeds Libraries is hiring for four part-time library assistants. Two roles are Saturday and Sunday 09:30-13:30 (8 hours/week) and two roles are Sunday 09:30-13:30 (4 hours/week), all year round. The roles are campus-based, offering front-line support to staff, students, and external customers.

You will engage positively with customers, delivering excellent service, and helping visitors make the most of library spaces and services. Visa guidance is provided for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role and ability to engage positively with users.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality front-line support to staff, students, and external customers across University libraries.
• Answer enquiries and assist customers to get the most out of library spaces and services.
• Support creating welcoming library environments and facilitate access to resources.
