Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are recruiting a Weekend Library Assistant to join our high‑performing Richmond Libraries team. You will deliver frontline customer service, assist with issuing/returning items, and help visitors access resources and digital services in a welcoming, public setting.

The role is permanent, part-time, with weekend hours and requires adaptability across three libraries. We offer flexibility, a generous pension, and a supportive environment for staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, service-focused environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service at the library.
• Issue and return books and other resources efficiently.
• Help customers use public computers and self-service kiosks.
• Support events and activities and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Travel to any library within the borough as required.
