Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal or Senior Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering high-profile UK water infrastructure projects. You will drive technical excellence, manage client relationships at senior levels and ensure profitable, high-quality delivery across AMP8 programmes.

You will oversee resource planning, mentor engineers, and promote safety, sustainability and innovation within a collaborative Arcadis culture. Leeds-based, with UK-wide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with ICE/IMechE/IET/CIWEM/CIWEM membership.
• Extensive water industry experience.
• Takes accountability and leads by example.

Responsibilities

• Technically lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary wastewater or water treatment projects across the design life cycle.
• Collaborate with clients, partner organisations and supply chain to maintain Arcadis’ reputation for high quality design.
• Build and sustain resources for delivery and support recruitment needs.
• Manage programme with commercial rigour and profitability.
• Provide line management and career development for team members.
• Promote safety, health, quality and sustainability across projects.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement in engineering approaches.
• Collaborate with other Arcadis teams to share knowledge.
