Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead our Water team in the UK, delivering high-profile clean water and wastewater projects across AMP8 and beyond.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, provide technical leadership, build client relationships, and drive quality, safety, and sustainability across major framework programmes while progressing toward senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with membership of ICE, CIWEM or IWO.
• Experience on complex design and delivery frameworks and/or design-and-build projects.
• Digitally curious and proficient in relevant software and tools.
• Able to communicate with partner organisations and diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects and/or multi-scheme programmes.
• Build and retain collaborative client and stakeholder relationships.
• Manage quality processes and technical assurance in line with company systems.
• Plan, direct and control tasks, people, resources and outputs.
• Provide technical leadership and develop team members to reach their potential.
• Undertake line management and pastoral care to team members.
• Resolve project issues and support team members with guidance.
• Promote safety, health, quality and sustainability across the project.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement in engineering methods.

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degree

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE, CIWEM, IWO
