Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects across the UK, including AMP8 delivery. You will lead civil design work, coordinate with disciplines and the supply chain, and produce high-quality drawings, calculations and reports.

The role requires Chartered or Incorporated status and strong communication skills. You will work within Arcadis Water Team, developing design solutions, mentoring junior staff, and promoting innovation while

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a recognised institution.
• Strong technical design experience on water projects.
• Good knowledge of Water Industry clients and contractors.
• Self-motivated with influencing and people management skills.
• Familiar with BIM-led design and digital tools like REVIT/Civils 3D.
• Solid understanding of British Standards and UK Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design and packages of work with senior engineers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and teams.
• Liaise with disciplines, supply chain, and clients.
• Prepare design drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Adhere to business processes and drive safety and sustainability.
• Mentor junior staff and support project delivery.
• Develop commercial, programme and financial awareness.
