Job Overview

This expanding and forward‑thinking Water Treatment Company, operating on public and commercial contracts in and around Wakefield, is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Engineer. The role involves covering a wide range of sites – commercial, residential and industrial – and includes disinfection of mains water systems, monitoring of air and water systems, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disinfect mains water systems, clean and descale tanks, change and replace tanks, and perform remedial work and flushing of systems.
  • Monitor clients’ air and water systems and ensure they comply with current health and safety legislation.
  • Carry out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
  • Conduct temperature monitoring, routine sampling and analysis of water systems.
  • Interpret results and maintain and install dosing systems.
  • Provide accurate reports and maintain paperwork.
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • Strong background in chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment.
  • Experience working within the water treatment or water hygiene industry.
  • Well versed in water treatment industry legislation.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office package.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Versatile, flexible and reliable, able to work independently under pressure.
  • Prepared to travel to designated sites.
