Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Mobile Water Technician to support on-site water hygiene and Legionella compliance across designated sites. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with Salisbury (Mobile) as the base location and travel to Midlands sites as needed.

The successful candidate will perform Legionella maintenance, monitoring, log book upkeep and water system cleans, while adhering to L8 guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment.
• Limited or no direct experience considered with relevant field experience.
• Advanced knowledge of maintaining water systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling and tank cleaning.
• Perform routine monitoring tasks per Approved Code of Practice L8.
• Maintain water log books and documentation per guidelines.
• Carry out water system cleans and disinfections per L8 and procedures.
• Test, service and maintain thermostatic mixing valves; perform basic plumbing tasks.

Role Responsibilities

• Completing a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling and tank cleaning.
• Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8.
• Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
• Carry out water system cleans and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
• Testing, servicing and maintaining thermostatic mixing valves, and carrying out basic plumbing works where required.

Required Qualifications

• Someone with previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment.
• We welcome applicants with limited or no direct experience, provided they have relevant experience in similar fields.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
