Job summary

Network Plus seeks a Dig Agent to supervise digging teams under the United Utilities contract in Worsley. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective execution and delivering first-time reinstatement with strong leadership.

You will coordinate with scheduling, manage resources and KPIs, and support continuous improvement with the client and internal teams. Training and development opportunities are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• NRWSA at supervisory level preferred.
• IOSH knowledge beneficial.
• Strong emphasis on right-first-time delivery.
• Excellent communication skills essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Shea Water competence.
• EUSR Blue Card beneficial.
• Avoidance of underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee digging teams and their day-to-day activities.
• Organise labour and resources cost-effectively, including recruitment and absence management.
• Manage materials, plant and other resources.
• Conduct monthly team briefings.
• Coach staff to reach potential and uphold fair culture.
• Help manage frame and cover programme and KPIs.
• Oversee defect programme and KPI achievement; attend Highway Meetings.
• Use GARD to verify quality and promote correct behaviours.
• Coordinate with Support Services and Street Works Team on liabilities.
• Complete Team Inspections ensuring high compliance and first-time reinstatement.
• Act as Health & Safety Representative and carry out safety inspections.
