Job summary

Network Plus is recruiting a Dig Agent to supervise digging teams on a United Utilities contract in Worsley. You will ensure cost-effective on-site delivery, lead a safety-conscious team, and work with scheduling to manage programmes and client relations.

You will develop staff, uphold health and safety standards, and drive first-time reinstatement with KPI-driven performance. The role offers development opportunities and employer-provided training.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications for the work, NRWSA supervisory level.
• Health and safety knowledge beneficial (IOSH)
• Right first time mindset

• Avoidance of underground utilities

Responsibilities

• Operational responsibility for digging teams and in-day activities.
• Organise labour cost-effectively, including recruitment, disciplinary action, wages, and absence management.
• Manage materials and plant resources.
• Carry out monthly team briefings.
• Coach and develop staff to reach their potential with a fair, consistent culture.
• Help manage the frame and cover programme and KPI attainment.
• Help manage the defect programme and KPI attainment; attend Highway Meetings.
• Use GARD to check quality and drive out incorrect behaviours.
• Liaise with Support Services and Street Works Team re FPN and Section74 liabilities.
• Complete Team Inspections ensuring compliance and focus on first-time reinstatement.
• Health & Safety Representative duties: inspections and incident investigations.
