Job summary

South West Water is seeking a Network & Customer Service Technician to maintain and operate our water distribution network, delivering a safe and reliable water supply while handling customer interactions and proactive problem solving.

The role blends field-based operational work with incident response, asset maintenance, and collaboration with contractors to uphold safety and service standards across the network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work on water network assets.
• Supporting planned and reactive operational activities across the distribution network.
• Responding to customer enquiries and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
• Helping prevent and manage supply interruptions and operational incidents.
• Undertaking leak detection, network flushing, meter replacements and valve maintenance.
• Working closely with colleagues, contractors and partner organisations to deliver operational excellence.
• Completing risk assessments and maintaining accurate operational records.
• Following health, safety, environmental and quality procedures at all times.
