Job summary

South West Water is seeking an Asset Performance Technician to monitor drinking water network assets, analyse data and drive improvements. You will collaborate with planning and asset management to optimise network performance while ensuring health, safety and customer service standards.

The role focuses on problem solving, technical analysis and continuous improvement in water distribution operations. It is based at our Exeter/South West network sites and involves field and office work.

Qualifications

• Experience within water distribution, network operations or a related utility environment.
• Experience of planning, coordinating and administering operational activities.
• Strong understanding of water network operations, maintenance and asset performance.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the performance of drinking water network assets, identifying trends and risks.
• Review and develop maintenance programmes to maximise reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare business cases and funding applications for asset investment projects.
• Support planning and delivery of capital and revenue maintenance programmes.
• Provide technical guidance to Network Maintenance Technicians.
