Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate in the Water sector for the UK, with a focus on hydraulic modelling, drainage and water infrastructure. You will work with senior engineers across projects in potable, surface, and wastewater systems, performing calculations, reporting and design work.

You will be encouraged to develop your skills through a graduate development programme, with hybrid working options and opportunities to gain professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.

Qualifications

• BEng with 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
• An MEng in Civil/Structural or Water-related MSc would be an advantage.
• Water-related modules would be an advantage.
• Willing and able to work towards ICE & CIWEM qualifications.
• Permanent right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis for potable, surface and wastewater systems.
• Perform technical feasibility studies for alternative water solutions.
• Produce designs of water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks.
• Create sketches, models, and final working drawings.
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements affecting design work.
• Collaborate with team members on technical, site, and project management tasks.
• Participate in site visits to understand implementation of designs.
