Overview

Position: Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £30,000 - £37,500

Our client is looking for a hands-on Senior Water Hygiene Engineer to join their skilled team. The role involves a mix of planned preventative maintenance, remedial works and risk assessments across sites including NHS and MOD sites.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Legionella risk assessments in accordance with ACoP L8 regulations
  • Disinfect cold-water storage tanks and associated systems
  • Inspect calorifiers and perform descaling
  • Service and replace TMVs
  • Manage water sampling and flushing regimes
  • Clean and chlorinate water systems
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and apprentices
  • Complete accurate and timely reports and paperwork
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds qualifications in Legionella risk assessment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent understanding of Legionella control and compliance
  • L8 Awareness & Legionella Risk Assessment experience essential
  • Competent with technical procedures, safe systems of work and method statements
  • Willingness to obtain MOD security clearance
  • Based within commutable distance of Salisbury
Salary & Benefits
  • Basic salary - £30,000 to £37,500 depending on experience

  • Working hours - 7:30am to 4:30pm (flexibility to 8am - 5pm depending on client)
