Job summary

AECOM is seeking Civil Engineering graduates to join the Water team across multiple locations. You will gain hands-on experience across hydraulic modelling, sustainable drainage and water infrastructure design while developing professional skills through our Graduate Development programme.

You'll work with experienced engineers in a collaborative, supportive culture that emphasizes learning, site exposure, and flexible hybrid working to balance study and project delivery.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2:1 (or equivalent) is required.
• MEng in Civil, Structural, or Water-related MSc would be an advantage.
• Water-related modules would be an advantage.
• Relevant work experience would be an advantage.
• Enthusiastic, hardworking, technically proficient with ambition and drive.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis including the use of computer-based programmes to assist with the study of potable, surface and wastewater system
• Undertake technical and feasibility studies to appraise practicability of alternative solutions for potable, foul, surface water and attenuation
• Produce designs of water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks with attenuation to safety in design
• Produce sketches, models, and check and consolidate final working drawings
• Keep up-to-date with developments in regulatory legislation and guidelines that may affect design work
• Work with other team members to undertake technical work, site work, and project management
• Opportunities for working on site and site visits to understand how designs are implemented

Education

BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (2:1)

MEng in Civil, Structural, or a Water Engineering related MSc (civils) would be an advantage
