Job summary

Mick George Group is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to grow the waste brokerage business. You will identify new opportunities, manage key accounts, and source competitive waste management solutions through our network of third-party providers.

The role demands strong negotiation, relationship-building and the ability to drive revenue from lead generation through to procurement, pricing, service delivery and account management.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management or environmental services.
• Proven track record in B2B sales.
• Ability to source competitive waste solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across commercial, industrial and other waste streams.
• Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, tenders and targeted business development.
• Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Understand customers’ waste requirements and develop commercially viable solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals and tenders.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service arrangements with customers.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve agreed revenue and margin targets.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer spend through additional waste streams, services and locations.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and changes within the waste management sector.
