Job Title : Warehouse Supervisor

Reports to : Operations Manager

About the Company

Our client, an import / distribution business specialising in dealing with international containers and deliveries is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Warehouse Supervisor to join their growing team. The successful candidate will join a team working in a busy and fast paced environment where deliveries are unloaded, stock is managed into specific locations efficiently to meet customer commitments and time frames.

Purpose of the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager and oversee the day-to-day duties of the team, including the receipt, preparation and unloading of goods. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, taking a lead by example approach to ensure safe and efficient operations, optimising space and following the correct processes whilst maintaining inventory accuracy. This role will require an excellent "can do" attitude and the ability to lead from the front as you will be expected to assist the team in day to day duties to ensure targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team: goods-in, container emptying and storage.
