Job summary

A logistics service provider is seeking a Logistics Technician - Warehouse Specialist for an onsite role in Slough, UK. This position is part of a six-month contract and requires at least one year of experience in warehouse or supply chain environments. The role involves managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and conducting inventory audits. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and basic skills in Microsoft Office applications.   • Handle the movement of materials including shipping/receiving.

Job Title: Logistics Technician - Warehouse Specialist

Location: Slough, UK (onsite role)

Shift: 8 hour shift between 7 am- 7 pm

Duration: Six month contract (PAYE position inside IR35)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  • Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision.
  • Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming / outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities).
  • Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
  • Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Centre regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity.
  • Performs material movement, including shipping / receiving and inventory management per standard process.
  • Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
  • Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience warehouse / supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Preferred but not required : Previous datacenter experience
