Overview

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Warehouse Operative / Van Driver for a temporary to permanent basis for an online retailer based near Tarporley.

Working Hours

Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00. No weekends.

Pay

Hourly rate £12.30–£12.60.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload 40ft shipping containers of furniture and decant into the warehouse.
• Pick furniture from the warehouse and load onto 3.5 tonne vans.
• Secure furniture in the vans.
• Pick furniture for Amazon Prime, DPD and other third‑party delivery partners.
• Label furniture and load onto delivery partners’ vans.
• General warehousing duties: ragging, creating space and defragging.
• Unload returning vehicles from delivery runs.
• Sort returns and perform light repairs to returned stock.
• Readily items for sale on eBay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or Yard Operative.
• Full clean UK driving licence essential.
• Experience driving a 3.5 tonne van preferable.
• Good knowledge of warehouse activities including picking, dispatch and return.

Expectations

Heavy lifting required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
